Ron Cox and his lab team are serving a growing list of dentist’s implant work utilizing new Edit Technology associated with the Astra Tech Atlantis 3D Viewer. “For more than 5 years, we have continued to expand our working relationship with Atlantis technology to handle most implant abutment needs,” said Ron. ‘It’s worked well as both parties have adopted new technologies to improve processes.”
Cox says the Edit Technology is a game changer to gain real-time control of pre-mill images. “I can login into the viewer to quickly and easily manipulate and even change the shape. The end result is a lab designed implant that can be milled out of Titanium; Gold Hue Titanium and Tooth colored Zirconium.”
Atlantis abutments are available for all major systems such as Astra Tech, Nobel Biocare, Straumann and Biomet 3i. In most cases, the option to create a 3 unit bridge has become outdated based on new developments in implant technology.
Once the abutment millwork is completed, Cox Dental Lab can fabricate a crown to be cemented to the implant abutment for an ideal fit and maximum aesthetics. “This is really becoming standard operating procedure, said Ron. “The process closely mirrors traditional crown and bridge replacement.”
Learning to deploy the latest technologies and products is a core business objective at Cox Dental Lab. Their in-house Sirona Inlab MC XL Milling System provides the ability to control fit and case design without the need for outsourcing. The Sirona system enables the team to mill e.Max, zirconium sub-structures and many other products that will meet nearly all dentists’ metal-free needs.
Cox specializes in most all crown and bridge needs, from simple to the most advanced cases. He works with some of the area’s top dentists such as Dr.’s Kirk Petersen, Eric Weller and Emilie Dawson at Canyon Park Dental. The lab is focused on producing the latest restoration of the highest standard from single crowns to full mouth rehabilitation cases. For more information call 425-402-4774.
